Julie has been practicing yoga since 2001 and teaching yoga since 2003. Her classes combine ancient and seasonal wisdom along with modern insights to create a safe environment within which to explore and grow physically, emotionally and spiritually. Julie is a registered yoga teacher and has studied with numerous teachers. She has a special interest in using yoga to manage moods, reduce stress and bring the body/mind back into balance to promote healing. Her practice and teaching are based on attuning with nature, the seasons and lunar cycles.Julie often refers to herself as a ‘yoga river guide’ as she takes her students on a slow meandering journey to bring participants back to the ‘true self’. In addition to traditional postures classes include breath work, mindfulness & poetry.

Julie is a member of Yoga Alliance. She is, also, inspired by Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow style yoga, Sierra Bender’s Goddess Yoga, Yogastrology®, a blend of Yoga, astrology and nature’s rhythms and Amy Weintraub’s use of yoga for mood management.
